How to Fix Your Memory Card(SD Card) with Command Prompt(cmd).

                If your memory card(SD Card) is not accessible and gives the message, “windows was unable to complete format” when you try to format normally, Formatting with CMD with some simple steps may fix your memory card's(sd card's) problems. Follow the steps bellow.

Follow the instructions in quotes carefully and spell the commands exactly as bellow. If You experience any problems do well to add a comment bellow.

Step 1: Open Command Prompt As Administrator.

                There are many ways of opening command prompt on your computer but the simplest way is ...

     Type “cmd” on your search bar, right click on command prompt and select run as administrator.

Step 2: after running cmd as administrator, type “diskpart” and press enter.

Step 3: Type “list disk”. The list of various disk in your computer will be shown.

Step 4: Type “select disk (disk number)”. Input the disk number whose capacity corresponds to that of your memory card’s capacity.

How to format a damaged SD card with CMD

For example: if your memory cards capacity is 4 GB, you would see  the capacity in MB that is about 3840 MB. Note Do not select the wrong disk as the proceeding steps can lead to lost of your information and even damage your harddrive

Step 5: Type “clean” and press enter.

Step 6: Type “create partition primary” and press enter.
Step 7: Type “Active” and press enter.
Step 8: type “format fs = fat32” and press enter.
